Welcome screen

I want my PC to require a password once i restart it. I
went to "control panel,user accounts, change the way
users log on or off, i checked to use the welcome screen,
and fast user switching" i then created a password for my
admin account and applied. But when i restart it does not
require a password nor use the welcome screen? Any help?

Check out this option:

1. Go to Start->Run
2. Type control userpasswords2
3. Check Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer
