Hi all,

I have a Toshiba A135 Notebook with Vista Premium (English, USA) and a 120GB
HDD.

I have 3 questions if you please:

1.) Is there a way to get the "attributes" column to show up on ALL folders
(and the files in them), by setting it somewhere other than in "each"
folder? Using "view' will not do it as there is no command there.

2.) I have "Removed" all the junk game programs from Wild Tangent and the
Yahoo music pgm, the Toshiba Game Console, etc., but the Welcome Center
still shows the 7 items that I "Removed". Is there a way to removed these
now gone items/pgms from the Welcome Center Screen?

3.) C:\Windows\Temp shows 132KB, 18 files, 10 folders. When I use Disk
Cleanup, the temporary files item shows 0 bytes! Doesn't the Disk Cleanup
item point to the C:\Windows\Temp folder??

Thanks for youe help in these questions, I am going nutso trying to figure
them out!

Tom

%SystemRoot%\system32\oem\info\...\oobe.xml contains the entries that you
need to delete related to these files, but you should consider editing that
file to be like editing the registry. (if you're comfortable editing the
registry, go ahead, otherwise...)

Cheers,

Disk cleanup waits till noone has expressed interest in the files for 7
days. Which is curious has Disk Cleanup waits untill nothing has accessed
the files for 7 days. But last access is turned off in Vista.

Check yours with fsutil

disablelastaccess = 1

Yes. But I tell you anyway. It's turned off in Vista. That means you CAN'T
do searches like file i read yesterday.

That file is in XP Pro for sure and Vista Ultimate. I think it may also have
been in Windows 2000 (but too long ago and as XP was a minor upgrade to 2000
they are easy to confuse)..
