Early A7V333 motherboard versions are limited to the 2400+
Athlon. Later versions of the motherboard can use higher speed
cpu's. There was a link to ASUS that illustrated this as I'd had
hoped to upgrade my slower speed cpu to speed things up. Maybe
someone can provide the link as I don't have it at this moment.

Also, you will want to run the latest full bios release, 1017, I
believe. Also, the latest current via 4in1 driver might help
too. Find real good advice on how to safely load that 4in1
bugger or you'll end up losing services or features that were
there and were previously working fine. I loaded mine from safe
mode. Learned the hard way. Good luck.

the gnome

try with one stick of memory in slot 2

If that works, try with memory in slots 1 and 3

What services and features did you lose? I never had to install 4in1
driver through Windows XP's safe mode before. Maybe I am missing
something? :I

Hibernation mode, for one, stopped working for me after an
upgrade of the 4in1 driver. After then, going into Via's site,
there was some advice on what to do when upgrades cause
problems. At that time, many other people were also complaining
online about the problems the 4in1 drivers were causing. It's
been awhile now, so I can't remember all of what people were
reporting with the 4in1 drivers. Google would show what those ng
posts have to say. If it worked flawlessly for you the 1st time
- that's great. Some of us aren't so lucky first time around.

Ah, I don't use hibernation feature.
