Website and DNS

Good Afternoon All,

My question is this, MY AD is name xyc.org and so is my
website which is not inhouse. When I have DNS internally
pointing at the DNS server inside I cannot get to our home
page www.xyc.org. When I change the clients to point at
the external DNS servers it works fine. What record do I
need to add to my internal DNS to resolve this issue. I
know this is most likely easy but I just dont have the
experience. Any further instructions on how to setup this
up would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

John

Ouch, You have a problem becouse You didn't plan Your DNS namespace before
implementing AD.

On Your internal DNS add A (Host record) record with WWW as a name and IP
address of external web server a a value.
But You can't use name WWW for any host in internal network.

No, he hasn't. What he has done is perfectly legitimate,
and may well have been planned.

You need a blank record pointing to your private IP

When you say a blank record I assume....
1) in the forward zone create a new host
2) (Use parent domain if left blank) Leave BLANK
3) add my private 192 IP

Should I do the same to reverse?

Correct...
I would love it if this works!!!
THANKS!
