webserver reinstall

I have a windows 2000 webserver in a windows 2000 network that I want to
upgrade. When I get my new server and then reinstall the webserver, what
other things I need to do to get it up and running? Do I need to delete the
old computer account and add the new one in active directory? Do I need to
change any DNS entries ( I will use the same name and IP address) ? Any
other things to do?

Yes. Do this first right after shutting down the old machine, but before the
new one is built.
