I have the same experience with Spy Sweeper 4.0. It's a fine program, in IMHO and in the opinion of many respected reviewers, and highly effective, but it does cause programs to need a second or two longer to open. However, you may not have a problem at all. It all depends on how Spy Sweeper interacts with the other software on your computer.
Unfortunately, we can't have our cake and eat it too, which means we can't load powerful software to protect us against the many threats that lurk on the internet and expect our computers to perform as if nothing was installed.
