I want to create a page other than my homepage that is easy to get to

I would like to type www.myhomepage.com/something

how do you get it to link to that page without putting a .htm on the end

please i need help

You can't
User that type in www.myhomepage.com/ will get your home page
If they type in www.myhomepage.com/something it implies a home page file in the folder named something

Create a folder named something, then place a default page (same filename as
your home page) in the folder.
A link similar to http://www.example.com/something will open the default
page in the something folder.

Create an index.htm in the /something folder.
