webpage link

I received a link to a webpage in an email. I want to copy and paste this
link to Word, but when I do this, the webpage does not come up. Does anyone
know why the link would work from my email and not from Word?
 
are you using ctrl + click to follow the link. This question is possibly
best asked in a Word support group.
