webpage hyperlinks not working

Foryears I've clicked on hyperlinks in a Word 2003 document and the web page
has opened. As of today, for no reason I can discern, I receive an error
message each time I click on a webpage hyperlink: Cannot download the
information you requested.

My intenect connection is OK. I can click on an email address link in Word
and Outlook automatically opens.

Thanks for the reply. Like most things with MS, shutting down the system
and re-booting made the problem go away.
