webcam

I have a microsoft vx3000 webcam, all is working apart from the microphone.
any advice
 
Right click on the Speaker icon in the Notification Area of the Taskbar, select
Recording Devices, right click the Microphone and set as Default. If you do not
see the microphone, right click an empty area of the window and check both "Show
Disabled Devices" and "Show Disconnected Devices". Use the Properties button to
configure the microphone.
