webcam viewer

Sorry for such a dumb question but - does XP have a standard, generic and
basic bit of software that lets me see video from a webcam?

Sort of like the way if you plug a microphone in, you can use Sound recorder
to record it. So I want something like 'Microsoft Video Recorder'.

Obviously it is a bit more complicated than that - I have several hundred HP
Thin client devices on a Citrix Farm, and I want to see if I can get some
sort of 'video conferencing' type thing going on. But I really wanted to just
answer the first question - does a webcam work on these devices? So I'm
staring at Windows, looking for some software that will (or won't) display
the output of the Webcam.

Any help for a thicko gratefully received.

Windows comes with NetMeeting. See Windows Help and Support, search term
