Web Stats

Judith

I started a web site with FrontPage 98 and am up to FP 2003. I lost the
files on my computer and had download site from server to my new computer
and have stats on my computer. Do I need to keep web stats from the
beginning of time (1998) on my computer and on the server? How many years
should I keep stats?

Thank you

Judith

As long as you like?...or not.

Just remember to not try to Publish them back up to the server; mark them Do
Not Publish or you'll get server errors.

You don't need to keep them if you don't want to. Your web host will.
Also, even though you have them you'd need to check with your host to see if
their stats package is set up to read all log files or just from a certain
timeframe. They may purge files after a period of time. Having the files
on your PC won't do you any good if you don't have a stats program to view
them
