Web page hyperlink to word bookmark goes to top of page

I have a simple web page created in Word 2003. If has buttons linking me to
other word documents and bookmarks within the documents. I have checked for
hidden bookmarks and tested the bookmarks within the documents. I have also
cleared all formatting in the documents. When I press a link, it always
takes me to the top of the page. Any insights here would be appreciated.

As an added note. I have recently noticed that if I move the web page and
documents to a laptop, the links go to the right place.

I am having this problem as well. However it will work for some but not
for others. When someone clicks on the link in the contents menu, it
will take them to the top of the page. I have looked through the
browser settings and word settings but I cant find anything.

If the document is saved and then opened the hyperlinks work ok, but if
they are viewed through the Intranet the problems occurs.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Here is what I discovered when I had the same problem....
Actually discovered that if I have the Word document set to "Load in
the same page" (you do this in Windows Explorer->Options->Folder
Options->Registered File Types->select "DOC"
Extension->Advanced->checkbox for opening in same page) then the
document will open in IE and the bookmarks work, however if you don't
have that checked then it will load in Word and the bookmarks won't
work.

Good Luck!!
