Web page backgrounds

Ok, well my web browser (Internet Explorer 7) will not display any background
images or colors. Its just a blank background. This also occurs in my instant
message windows on AIM and on the buddy list. So could someone PLEASE help me
cause this is a very irritating problem, even though its probably something
very simple. HELP!!

From Microsoft:

1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then Control Panel.
2. Double-click Internet Options.
3. On the General tab, click Accessibility.
4. Click to clear the Ignore colors specified on Web pages check box.
5. Click OK, and then OK.
