Web Folder Mystery

I recently had a hard drive crash on my laptop and have since recovered.
Now
I am having problems with web folders. All of the sites that I do for
clients, I am no longer able to "properly" insert hyperlinks, etc.

When I try accessing the web folders that were there before, I got the error
message "Documents in this folder are not accessable". So I figured I would
re-create the folders. I deleted the existing ones.

I have gone into "My Network Places" and tried to create new web folders,
but I get an error message of "The folder you enetered does not appear to be
valid. Please choose another."

If I go into FP and File->Open site and type in the URL, I get this error
message "The folder isn't accessable. The folder may be located in an
unavailable location, protected with a password, or the filename contains a
/
or \."

I get the same result with several sites on different servers. I have also
been successful in opening these sites from my PC. I know the problem is
with my laptop, but I don't know how to fix it. I have removed both Office
2003 and FrontPage 2003 and re-installed both.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just answered your previous post.

Yes. Thank you. I posted that other one on a website. I didn't know it
was linked to this newsgroup. Dang and I thought this was a source of
additional information.

Please stick with your original thread.

It was meant to be helpful. By creating different threads, all you do is
confuse the issue.

Perhaps you need to learn how to use newsgroups?

If you read the thread you would see that my original post was to the
discussion group on the website. I didn't know that it was linked to the
newsgroup.

Do you have any technical knowledge to share on this issue or is your
speciality harrassing people?

See my response to your other similar thread
- starting 2 similar threads is counter productive
