I am encountering a problem when accessing my work's web email from home
using xp home ediotion. I didn't have the problem prior to installing the sp2
update. I can log into the mail and I can open messages. I cannot reply or
forward to those messages. I click on the reply or forward button and the
whole message goes away (the message window closes). Any help at all with
this would be much appreciated.

SP2 has a popup blocker enabled by default. Try turning it off and see if it
fixes your problem. To turn it off, go into the control panel and click on
the Security center and look for the popup blocker utility.

that didn't solve the problem either. I turned off all pop up blockers too.
Before the update I had the Yahoo pop up blocker enabled and I could use the
outlook web email just fine. Any other ideas?
