I was asked a question regarding the above today and I thought someone might
be able to help.....
The questioner has XP professional and uses a MSN web conferencing software
that prohibits a firewall. He was worried about security issues and what he
could do to prevent viruses and others listening in. He uses it to
communicate with grandaughter, He already uses Norton antivirus.
I am not sure if there is any web conferencing software that allows firewall
but maybe there are specfific security programs that work with web
conferencing?

As he is comunicating with his grand-daughter one assumes that he would be
using msn messenger. In what way does this prohibit a firewall? I use msn
messenger often and ever have any problems wth my firewall. Having said
that, I have disabled he xp firewall and replaced it with Zone Alarm. They
do a free version or a to buy version at www.zonelabs.com I've used both
without any problems. Strangely enough as soon as you fire up zone alarm the
fire time d messenger is running it immedately asks if you want to allow msn
messenger to access the internet.

Hope this helps
