Web browser scroll speed problem

T

Tomasz

Whenever scrolling down or up a web page in a browser
window (tried both IE 6.0 and Mozilla 1.5 Beta) the CPU
utilization in the Task Manager peaks at 100% and the
system slows down dramatically (to the point of the mouse
pointer becoming unresponsive for 1-2 seconds). I'm running
Windows 2003 Server Standard (clean install) on a 1.4GHz
Athlon XP with 512MB of RAM. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Could be some parasites, check it out.

IE 6.

Try this: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Browsing
Uncheck the Enable 3rd party browser extensions

If this clears your problem then find out who the culprit(s) is/are with
these tools.

Let AD-Aware Scan your system for advertising Spyware

or:

SpyBot-S&D

p.s Reset the 3rd party browser setting.
