If you need to just launch an application,- EPIM does not offer that
currently.

It would be even more perfect if you removed the annoying little advert
for the Pro version. I stopped using EPIM because of that.

You pay for the program and get adware?

What would be the difference from launching application from Quick
Launch in Windows?

I've been using ECCO for ten years (now abandonware from NetManage). It
was inexplicably abandoned at the Windows 95 stage, despite universal
rave reviews and a dedicated user base. I'm able to integrate it with my
pocket thing because ECCO is just barely able to synchronize with its
first-generation US Robotics Pilot integration. But ECCO is frozen in
time, and I doubt that I'll be able to synchronize it with, let's say, a
current or future Palm-softwared device. I want to move on. Essential
PIM, from your review link, seems to have been inspired by ECCO.

That's why everything should be open-source or at least open-source when the
company decides to abandon it.
