I have some issues after installing WDS 3 Beta 2 I have installed it twice
now and still have the same problem in outlook 2007.

If I search for an email in Outlook it goes orange and say outlook cannot
perform your search. However if I search the same keyword from the deskbar
it brings up the email no problem.

I have rebuilt the index 2 times after re-install of wds 3 beta 2. Does
anyone have anything that could help?

Cheers

Joey

I had a similar problem. What I believed was happening in my case, is there
were inconsistencies between the index file from the first install and the
mailbox content after the upgrade. I forced a rebuild of the index by
unchecking the boxes in the drop-down options menu, then reselecting my
folders for indexing. I then let the machine idle for about an hour. (An
hour may not be necessary. That is just how long I was away from my desk.)
I believe the indexing process is paused while the computer is in an active
state. In any case, when I returned, the WDS 3 beta 2 worked just fine.

I'd wait till the next beta release of Office is available. No idea when
that will be though.
WDS3 Beta 2 was written to work with Office 2007 B2TR, so you should
expect some issues when using 2007 B2.

WDS3 B2 is working fine here with Outlook 2007 B2, FWIW.

I've installed the WDS beta 2 and it is working well for me. It is faster
and finding things that the earlier beta didn't find.
