way to make external floppy work with XP setup?

Josh

Hey all.. Im trying to install my RAID drivers from a
floppy drive rather then from a slipstream installation.
Right now I have an external USB floppy because (I dont
even know if its possible..) but I Think my floppy
controller is fried or something? I was playing with the
floppy drive once while the machine was on and it sparked
and shut down.. blew a 120 gig hdd but no IDE controllers
got fried. Anyways, is it possible that I can make my
system recognize this USB floppy as the A:\ so that I can
use it during XP install to hit f6 and install drivers?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Install device thru usb, then on starting computer enter the BIOS,if it show
in BIOS and is configured in boot options you should be ok.However to correctl
install the drivers you need to boot to xp cd,the text will appear,"to install raid or scs
drivers press F6",the drivers then get copied from floppy drive.

Hello Josh,
I do not think that this option exists for Windows XP yet.
Thanks,
