wave sound

I want to turn off the wave sound on windows media player, but i dont see
any way how. I want to run derect sound because it use much less cpu power
and runs smoother.
 
Open WMP>Tools>Options>File Types tab
Uncheck Windows Audio File (WAV)
Click Apply and OK.
