Wav files from WMP to embed in PP

I would like to copy some of my music files from my Windows Media Player
into a folder as .wav files where I can use them as embedded files in a Power
Point presentation. Is this possible?
Thanks

Does anyone read and answer these questions?

Read, yes. And answer, yes, if they know the answers.
But we're all volunteers and regular PPT users; there's no guarantee that someone
will know the answer to all questions.

Regardless of how you make the WAV files, PPT should be able to embed them, so it
seems that your question is more about Windows Media Player and how to use it.

There's probably a different newsgroup for WMP; have you tried there?

Or assuming you have e.g. MPG files there are programs that allow you to convert
between one format and another. Try googling on "MPG to WAV" or the like.

First, Media Player has nothing to do with it really, unless it is being
used to create the files. If that is the case you need to be aware that if
it is commercial (bought) music from a CD is almost certainly has DRM in it
and Windows Media Player will carry that over to the wav file. Again, if
that is the case (DRM in the file) you will not be able to use them in
PowerPoint.

Consider this... it seems wav formats are accepted while mp3 are not for
embedding (not even on PP2007).
Once a wav file is embedded, the size of the PP file will be huge, so much
so that forget about emailing it.
As long as the mp3 or wav file is not embedded, then you must have the music
in the same directory as the PP slides.
I hope this help.

Charlie3110,
If you are looking for a converter from MP3 to Wav format, here is the best
one, and it is free.
It is called Audacity. Not only it can convert, it also record and edit.
The best feature is : The Wav file that it has converted is of the SAME size
as the original MP3. How ? A long story short , it disguises the converted
file as Wav file.
Here is the link :
