Frank, thanks for your help I am a little ignorant in excel. I had a lot of messages when I tried to access it so the only thing I did was I copied your example and pasted it. Fine, when I view it, it is definately there but when I print it no way. Any suggestions please. I am pulling my hair out on this one. I can do it quite easily in word. Thanks kiddso

Hi Val,

You can use WordArt. Set the font size, remove the lines, fill with light
gray and set the transparency to desired. (or in older versions use 25%
gray) On the sheet right click the WM and rotate if you want.

If you have several to do you can use the Ron Debruin link that Frank
offered. It is some code I wrote to do WM's four different ways depending
on how your sheet is configured.

HTH

In Excel, go to Help, Center Tab, type in Remove a Watermark, follow directions

There are no watermarks in Excel, if you mean wordart you can try by
pressing F5,
select special and objects, then delete.
