Watermarks in Excel

How do I create a non printing watermark in excel? I saw
a worksheet with each page watermarked with Page # where #
is the corresponding page in that worksheet.

What you saw was a page using view>page break view, it won't print.
There are no watermarks in Excel but there are ways of getting something
similar
