Warning: W2k SP4 and Norton AV Corporate 7.61 incompatible

All OK with W2000 Pro SP3 and NAVC 7.61
Turned off NAVC 7.61 to install SP4.
Installed SP4, forgot to resume NAVC for a week, then
unable to update and resume.
NAVC re-install failed with multiple "unable to register".
A few other programs (Paint Shop, Computer Management)
wouldn't open, either.
Symantec WWW virus scan shows clear system.
Went through several NAV uninstall/install cycles, still
NG.
Downgraded back to SP3, installed NAVC again, all OK.
Awaiting upgrade from Symantec or MS.

NAV Corporate is up to 8.1 now. No problems here using 8.1 and SP 4.

Your NAV contract probably has expired with Symantec, otherwise they would
have sent you the upgrade (8.0, 8.1) by now.
