On some of my incoming email messages, I am now receiving the following
message: Warning: Virus Check bypassed. Why would some of the messages have
this and how do I change it so that I don't get a virus?

You should not have any AV software checking your incoming or outgoing mail,
it is not needed and will cause you more problems if not addressed, by
disabling it totally?

You can get a virus in mail if you open an attachment directly from your
mail.
If a virus is present the resident shield of your AV Application will catch
it, so long as you keep the definitions updated.
So no need for mail scanning.

Always save attachments that come in mail to the Documents Folder>right
click on it there>and choose scan with AV App.
View the attachment, if you don't want to keep it, delete it from Documents.
