Warning Message in Windows Mail

S

Sandee

I keep getting this message where the subject is "Warning, Could Not Send
Message For the Past 4 Hours. Then the body of the e-mail is:
**********************************************
** THIS IS A WARNING MESSAGE ONLY **
** YOU DO NOT NEED TO RESEND YOUR MESSAGE **
**********************************************

I delete it and the next day or the day after I get the same message. What
does it mean & how do I get rid of it? I'm running Vista Home Premium and
Windows Mail.
Thank you.

That type of message will usually stop after 24 to 48 hours.
It means there is a temporary problem with the recipient's mail server,
and the sending server will keep trying to deliver he message.
At some point it will give up, and it will let you know that it has given up.
