Have some classical music mp3 files that I would like to join together,

MP3 Merger from http://mp3merge.netfirms.com/

This is a tool for joining MP3 files together.
It takes care of the ID3v1, IDv1.1 and ID3v2 tags.

Features:

* ID3v1.1 tag support
* takes care of ID3v2 tags
* can add ID3v1.1 tag to the generated file
* VBR support
* accepts drag'n'drop from the explorer
* can be integrated into the "Send to" Menu of the explorer
 
If the music is continuous you may run into a common problem where a
little gap is left at the join. I recommend using an audio editor like
Audacity:

Then you can see the little blip on the screen and chop it out. Your
transitions will be smooth as butter.

(I have not tried MP3 merger and so I don't know if it leaves the blip.
I've used Audacity to do the joining, although you have to do some
annoying copy-and-paste work. Open a second file, copy, close, go to
the end of the first, paste.)
