want to reinstall W2K AND keep data on partitions

I partitioned my 60G hard-drive as C=5g, D=20g, E=25g, and
F=5g. I didn't really put too much thought into it and
now my C:\ drive is full and I am having trouble with not
enough space on the C:\ drive when I install anything.

Question) Can I re-install Win2KPro and not lose the data
on the D,E and F drives?

and then re-partition them so I would have more space on C?

So it would look something like C=20g, D=15g, E=15 or
whatever?

And if so how?

thanks anyone for any help. Appreciated.

One potential solution would be to make image files for all of the partitions
using Ghost or DriveImage. Re-size the partitions with Partition Magic and
then copy the image files back to their respective, re-sized partitions. (To
preserve the data on Drive F, which will be deleted, copy it first to one of
the other partitions before making the image file.)

use partition magic to re size the partitions

have a backup, ghost would be handy

as suggested use ghost to backup partitions, fdisk or re
install win2K to set up partitions, ghost to restore backups
to new partition sizes

You could backup the entire dive to backup media, then repartition the
drive, then restore the files to the partitions.

_IF_ you are talking about personal data and not applications or
programs on D:, E:, AND F: I would just buy another HDD a
40 gig WD 7200 8mb cache can be had for under $65.
Take out the old drive and install the new drive reinstall W2K to
the new drive. I then reinstall the old drive and using power desk 4,
which is now free to copy all of the data to a temporary directory
on the new drive. Windows explorer will not do this because it will
not copy the directories. You have to use either power desk or
directory opus. Then I uninstall the new drive and use the utility
from the drive mfg to wipe the old drive. Then reinstall the new
drive and reformat the old drive. Then copy the saved data back
from the temporary directory to the D:. This is very time consuming
but the end results are always good. Incidently ghost costs $79.95
and drive image costs $69.95.....
