Hi all,

I want to move some default system folds to a volume other than C:,
say, the following folds:

Favorites
MyDocuments
Application Data (both the appdata and local appdata)

Is/Are there some tool(s) with which I can complete these jobs
painlessly and safely?

Thanks in advance.

Why?
If your running out of drive space buy a larger drive or add a slave

My Documents; right click the desktop icon, properties, move

Just my taste:-)

This method only apply to the above folder. I also want to do the
same opertion on some other folders, say, Application Data, what
should I do?

You're not likely to have any luck with the other two folders. The OS
apparently insists that they remain on whatever drive is the boot drive.

Format and customize the install so your "Documents and Settings" folder is
elsewhere.

IF you are using an XP box, you can use Tweak UI by KAI powertools to move
your default folder locations wherever you want. I am not sure if they have
developed an updated version for use with Vista or not.

Joe,
I think you mean XP Powertools' TweakUI not "Kia's Powertools" which
were a set of APIs for Adobe and Corel Software. TweakUI which does have
options for changing the default locations of the system folders

CD Burning;
My Documents;
My Pictures;
My Music;
My Video;
Temporary Internet Files;
Desktop;
Send To;
Startup;
Start Menu;
Programs;
Program Files ;
Favourites;
Shared Folders;

... was first brought out for Win98 as a Control Panel extension, but have
more recently done an update for XP as a 'stand alone' executable. You can
download it at:

http://download.microsoft.com/downl...a6-b352-839afb2a2679/TweakUiPowertoySetup.exe

(you may have to copy-and-paste this URL into your browser's address bar as
line-wrap may have disabled it from functioning correctly)
