Want to convert document to table question.....

Hello all. I am using Word 2000. I recently got a document that was
converted from a website; PDF to DOC. The document reflects when the
formatting marks are displayed that there are things referred to as ...
......Section break (Continous) ...

The document is 'arranged' in a table type of format ... but is not a table.
While I have cleaned up superflous items within the document, if I go
further and try to convert it into an actual from document to table, it does
not activate the grayed out 'Convert' choice.

This 'document', as now saved from the PDF to DOC conversion process, is a
listing of many pages of former military personnel of a Navy ship we all
served on. I would like to convert it to a usable table so that I can import
into an alredy existing table.

I would like to attach a page or two of the document reflecting the various
format marks ... but cannot using this forum form.

Can anyone provide some guidance. Would appreciate it very much. I am not
a 'whiz-bang' at this sort of thing ... so please try to keep simple and
understandable ... and patience.
Thank you
Chuck

Cleaning up converted documents can be a pain, but if you want toi mail me a
couple of pages (via the link on my web site) I will have a look and see
what can be done - if anything. It may be easier to start again from the PDF
and convert that to plain text, then use the method at
http://www.gmayor.com/convert_labels_into_mail_merge.htm to convert it to a
table.
