After copying Access linked data tables (files) from another networked
computer, I disconnected from network. The other computers have all had their
files removed and now gone their seperate ways. Now when I attempt to Open
Access I get an error that the UNC reference to the data files is wrong. The
option to open up Database Utilities does not appear to be accessible. I
cannot get to the changing of the linked tables, so seem stuck. Is there
perhaps a way to re-combine split tables to get around this? Or perhaps can
the reference be somehow accessed in the Access code. The code file is in
*.mdb format and has never been converted to *.mde file. It also occurs to me
that the problem is in the request for the Switchboard tables, and if I could
bypass this request, I could get to the Database Utilities tools. Thanks !!

Try re-opening the .mdb file with the shift key depressed. Assuming the developer has not
implemented the bypass shift key trick, this should allow you to open the database without a
startup form or Autoexec macro running.
