want to access program on desktop from laptop

I have a wireless three computer network in my home. I
want to install a tax program on my desktop due to hard
drive space limitations on my laptop. I want to run the
program from my laptop. Can this be done? What about
creating a shortcut to the exe file on the desktop
machine?

Not unless the tax program is designed as a network application.
