Want Outlook to start view in Inbox of Hotmail account...

Can't find it in options. Whenever Outlook opens, the
default view goes into the Inbox of my Personal Folders.
I would like it to go to the default view in my Inbox of
my Hotmail account. Is this possible?

Which version of outlook? In outlook 2003, set it in tools, options, other,
advanced. For older versions, you'll need to create a shortcut that opens to
the folder.

create a shortcut using the command line outlook.exe /select Hotmail\Inbox
get the proper foldername from the address bar of the web toolbar when you
have the folder selected.

This is Outlook XP.

I have tried your switch (outlook.exe /select
Hotmail\Inbox), but it just pegs the CPU at 100% and I
shut it down after four minutes without a change.

Any other ideas?

Nevermind last post!

For it to work, I had to put:
/select outlook:\\Hotmail\Inbox

This works nicely now. Thanks for the tips!
