I have windows XP Pro. I use to click on desktop properties and the window
that came up had a tab called "desktop". Now the desktop tab is no longer
there. Also, when I find a photo on the web I like and right click it, the
option of "set as wallpaper" is there - but it is not highlighted and I can
not use it. How do I reverse all of this so I can change wallpaper?? All help
appreciated.

Hi Ross how are you doing there?

You can also download this .bat file & run it on the computer.

or

You can manually delete some files from the registry

click on START>RUN>type REGEDIT

You will see the window open & with the folders on the right side,

Navigate to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies

Delete all the folders under this key related to Wallpaper or Active Desktop
or simply delete all the keys.

After you deleted the folders under policies under the navigation area,

All the best, Kindly reply back if your issue is fixed.
