Wallpaper woes

This happens in ALL versions of Windows.

Whe I download an image and activate it as a wallpaper,
then later replace it with another image, the former
continues to be displayed at the start and end of the
Windows sessions, although not seen during the session
when only the current wallpaper is displayed. How can this
problem be corrected, where can I locate and remove that
image. I search but don't find the image to be able to
delete it...

Although it is happening right now on a Windows 2000
machine, it has happened in all versions of windows

Easy fix. Go to Display options (right click on the desktop) and
select "None" for wallpaper, now click on "Apply". Next, select the
wallpaper you want and click "Apply" again.

Every time you change wallpaper, you'll have to select "None", apply
it, select the one you want and apply it.

It's a bug but the workaround is only two mouse clicks so I suppose
it'll never get changed?
