Wallpaper Items

As you have the option to browse the entire hard drive to specify a wallpaper image, it could be anywhere. The ones included with
Windows are in the Windows directory.

Does anyone know where wallpaper files are stored on the
system? My wife created my wallpaper picture from our
digital camera directly. She forgot to save the photo
onto the harddrive before she deleted them from the
camera. I would like to find the picture file that is
currently being displayed on as my wallpaper. Do you
know where it is stored on the system? Many thanks in
advance for your help!!!!

Try this . . .

Right-click on the desktop. Choose Properties. Click the
Desktop tab. Your current wallpaper should be the one
that is highlighted in the "Background" list.

Write down the name of the wallpaper file then do a
search on your computer for the name of the file.
