Wallpaper Clutter

Stanley S. Glazer

I decided to change the wallpaper on my desktop. Running Windows XP. Opened
Display Properties / Desktop and there are many entries in the Background
dialog box that I would like to remove but I can't, no matter what I do. I
can easily install whatever photo I want as desktop wallpaper--that's no
problem but I would like to erase some of the clutter that's listed; I'm not
referring to the default items, just the stuff I must have put there one
time when I was fooling around. What can I do? Stan

If you mean that you want to remove the names of some of the wallpapers from
the list, but not the actual files themselves. The wallpaper list is
gathered from image files in the My Pictures, and the Windows\Web\Wallpaper
folders. Move the files that you don't want listed, from those folders to
another folder and they won't list.
