The problem can never be solved by adding additional layers
of security. The "Real" problem is the knowledge gap that exists
for PC users. Most IT people know of things like Cookies,
Active-X, firewalls,etc. Most of the clients I deal with have no
idea how risky using the Internet is. If I ran Microsoft, I would
create a video presentation on Internet security and how to use
Windows more safely and mail a copy to every licensed user of
Microsoft operating systems. Making the operating system more
secure is a good thing, educating the users is even better.
