We are getting a stange waiting on Exchange server popup message. Instead of
the Exchange server being named in the popup, the name of a DC that is a GC
is named. The DC has never been an Exchange server. (Exchange and DC both
2003)

Any ideas anyone?

This is because the GC is being used for name resolution of the Global
Address List.

Thanks. I don't ever recall seeing anything but an Exchange server name in
the notify dialog.

Start-> Run; outlook.exe /rpcdiag

This will show you the connection details.
