Hi,
Can anybody help me with error message in W2K: ?
Source: w32time, Event ID: 63 "The time service cannot provide secure
(signed) time to client...... attempt to validate its computer account
failed with error 1722. Falling back to insecure (unsigned) time for
this client".

It seems to me, this is the last message before domain controller
unexpectedly reboots. There are no other messages in the system event
log which can cause reboot. The reboot occurs approximately 3 times
per month and this error message appears ONLY before the reboot.

There is no problem to find similar event in groups, but none has in
description error 1722.

Thank you in advance

Pavel

Pavel,

The 1722 error that you get indicates that the rpc server is unavailable.
This is a fairly generic error and usually indicates that either the RPC
service is stopped/disabled on the DC, or there is some kind of DNS
misconfiguration.

Check those things first. Your post does not indicate if this is a client
or a DC. If it is a client, move it out of the domain and back in. Also
make sure that it is pointing to a valid W2K DC for DNS.

If none of these things help, please provide more information.
