Hoe kan ik een goede timeserver instellen in w2k server?
Ik blijf deze fout krijgen op onze server (DC)

Event Type: Warning
Event Source: w32time
Event Category: None
Event ID: 64
Date: 12/30/2003
Time: 10:42:01 AM
User: N/A
Computer: SHLDC
Description:
Because of repeated network problems, the time service has not been able to
find a domain controller to synchronize with for a long time. To reduce
network traffic, the time service will wait 960 minutes before trying again.
No synchronization will take place during this interval, even if network
connectivity is restored. Accumulated time errors may cause certain network
operations to fail. To tell the time service that network connectivity has
been restored and that it should resynchronize, execute "w32tm /s" from the
command line.

Event Type: Error
Event Source: w32time
Event Category: None
Event ID: 62
Date: 12/30/2003
Time: 10:42:01 AM
User: N/A
Computer: SHLDC
Description:
This Machine is a PDC of the domain at the root of the forest. Configure to
sync from External time source using the net command, 'net time
/setsntp:<server name>'.

Het lukt me dus niet om dit net time command goed uit te voeren. Een
connectie naar het internet is er wel via proxy, maar ook mogelijk zonder.

net time /setsntp:192.5.41.209

or any other ntp source of your choosing
(192.5.41.209 = ntp2.usno.navy.mil)

Of course if your connection is by way of proxy server and the ntp port (123
udp) is blocked, then you're out of luck. To stop the Event Viewer message
you can set the Windows Time service to "Manual" or "Disabled"
