I have recently been attacked by the W32.Jeefo virus and
i am unsure on if i have undertaken the correct removal
procedure. I did a full system scan using Norton Anti-
Virus and it found the virus, it would not delete it but
it would only Quaranteen it so i did that. I then
restarted the computer and went into safe mode as
symanted.com recomended me to do so. I did a full system
scan again as prompted to and it did not find any virus
this time, it said on the website when it finds a virus
(Which it did not) delete it, so i went into quarenteened
items and just deleted it from there. The next stage was
to delete the value that was added to the registory
(windows 95/98/Me.), I did not use that as it did not
have Xp prompted to do it and i was also unsure on what
it was and what to do.
I have Windows Xp Home edition and i would be very
greatful if some one could tell me if i have done the
correct procedure. On the other hand if I have done the
wrong thing and tell me what i should do.
Any help will be greatly appreciated
