w2K won't enter standby after KB835732 Hotfix

After applying the KB835732 hotfix to my computer, it will no longer automatically enter standby mode. If I uninstall the hotfix, everything works fine. With the patch, I can manually put the computer into standby mode...it just won't do it automatically. Since I leave this computer on 24/7, this is a major nuisance. Is there any way to fix this

Pentium 4 1.6Gh
256 MB Ra
60 GB Hard Drive (54GB free) NTFS file syste
W2K Service Pack
