W2K to XP upgrade

I've encountered this error trying to upgrade from Win 2K to XP:
Setuperr.log: Syntax error in manifest or policy GDIPLUS.MAN on line 4.

Has anyone seen this or got a fix for it? The upgrade will restart on a
reboot, but stop at the same place with the same error.
