W2K Server WXP Client Printer Redirection

R

Richard Kennedy

A Windows 2000 server is located in Washington state with
Windows XP clients located in Arizona. Arizona clients use
Remote Desktop Connection (RDC) to run application on
server. All printers in Arizona are networked and none are
local, i.e., none are directly connected to clients.

While I am able to find documentation for getting local
printers to work with RDC, I can't find anything for
networked printers.

Any assistance will be appreciated.

Are the printers ports the IP address of the printer? That is, the printers
connected to the TS (the ones in Arizona)
Bugger that was a complicated mouthful!

Make sure that your printers in Arizona are in you TS printers list and the
ports that they are connected to are the IP addresses of the Arizona
printers. You will likely have to do port mapping at your router.
