W2K mirror corrupting files

G

Gus

I installed a Win2000 Advanced Server and everything went ok. I installed
services packs, SQLServer, etc.
Then, using a secondary disk I setup mirror using Disk Manager and from that
time everything works like hell: files are corrupted, windows gives blue
screens, etc.

The secondary disk is alike the main one: same size, same brand.

I tried removing the mirror and the problems where solved (although
corrupted files were still corrupted).

Any solution? Maybe it's related to a hardware failure on secondary disk?

Thanks.

Sounds like hard drive issues or controller issues. This is not normal and
certianly shouldn't be caused by Windows. I have several machines that have
been runnning software mirrors for years.

FWIW, if you had the budget for W2k AS, you should also put in hardware
RAID - SCSI, ideally.

I agree!! Hardware SCSI RAID is the best if you can get it......
