W2k installation errors

Hi, I just bought a new motherboard and processor, set my
new system up, and tried running from my old win2k
install, knowing it probably wouldn't work, it didn't,
with a blue screen of "inaccessable boot device", so I am
trying to install over my old version of win2k. Every
time I do, it gets to the part where it deletes the old
version, then starts copying files, then I get
a "kmode_exception_not_handled" or an error with CDFS.sys,
or an IRQl error. Any ideas? I'm going to go check the
ram right now.

thanks in advance,
Andrew Beaver

Just what else is new with the motherboard and processor? If the old and
the new systems are considerably different, it would be much better to do a
new and clean install of Windows 2000. Otherwise, hardware stop errors
wold be appearing quite regularly.

only the motherboard, ram and processor are new. the old
installation of win2k has been deleted, I just want to
install win2k again, and I have picture's of my daughter
on my harddrive that I was stupid enough not to back up,
so I can't format. I am also getting "page fault in non
paged area" blue screen of death sometimes...
