w2k cluster environment variable reset problem

In window 2000 cluster system, we try to reset one
environment variable which is used by one window service
application. But no matter what we do(reboot both
machines, shutdown both and restart), the value got in the
applicatoin service is always old value.
 
Hi Roger,
Can you elaborate a bit further on the applicaion and how it interacts with
the cluster?
